  • Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Montevallo.
  • Master's Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Louisville in Kentucky.

Heather has been teaching piano for more than 17 years including private piano studio, university class piano, and private piano instruction for university students.

Heather has lectured and performed at both the 1995 National Conference on Piano Pedagogy and the National Yamaha Education and Technology Conference in 1999.

She is an active member of the:

  • Music Teacher's National Association (MTNA)
  • National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) including their local affiliates. Pi Kappa Lambda
  • The National Music Honor Society

She has been listed in Who's Who In American Women and she has contributed articles to professional pedagogy periodicals. Her students continually receive highest ratings and honors in local and state piano competitions.

Heather has completed one CD recording that includes a compilation of live performances of works by Robert Schumann, Bela Bartok, Claude Debussy, and Samuel Barber.
